VIA was founded in 1987 by Greg DeLaere as a one man show breaking into a then emerging traceability need in the automotive industry. With his talents and vision, VIA has grown to include installations in 18 countries
across five different continents. VIA’s flagship product began as a DOS based Manufacturing Execution System (MES) product focused solely on the traceability and genealogy, and error proofing needs of the automotive discrete manufacturing market. This product slowly began to form the basis of the current MAN-IT® product, first released in 2003, that encompasses a broad spectrum of products for multiple industries that utilize a modular approach with the use of our patented technology, Business Atom Engine (BAE). At VIA, we realize one size does not fit all. As the need of the discrete manufacturing industry has changed, VIA has grown to meet that need by continually adding and upgrading additional functionality to allow for a modularized approach to fit the need of our customers. While at the same time, VIA has never forgotten our number one focus, you, our customer. With a customer retention rate of 94%, our customer satisfaction is exceeding marketplace trends.
Moving away from a DOS based system in 2003; we have focused our efforts on developing the highest quality enterprise-level MES software for discrete manufacturing. In addition, we created a product that made it easy for nonprogrammers to define the requirements of their manufacturing processes based on standard operation procedures and implement a structured solution based on these needs. VIA’s Program Management group has over 30 years manufacturing experience to help you capture requirements and develop a cost-effective solution.
Additionally, VIA has a highly trained Professional Services group with experienced technicians supporting the needs of the customer 365/24/7. We are there when you need us.
VIA Information Tools now has offices based in Michigan, Tennessee, South Carolina, Indiana, Costa Rica and China, making us a major global player in manufacturing process enforcement.
Today, VIA has grown from one that focused on automotive software alone to a diverse enterprise that reaches across multiple industries including medical devices and equipment, consumer products, heavy equipment and other discrete manufacturers. That is because at VIA we are focused on performance improvement through process enforcement, real time visibility, and analysis leveraging our commercial, off-the-shelf software applications and professional services.
